Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY): Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a small savings scheme of the central government, which is very popular among the people. However, the government has not made any change in the interest rate available on this scheme. Currently, 7.6 percent annual interest is being given in SSY.

How much can you invest?
Under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in the current fiscal year, you can deposit a minimum of Rs 250 and a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh annually.

tax exemption
Let us tell you that till now in the Sukanya scheme, the benefit of tax exemption under 80C was available only on the account of two daughters. There was no tax exemption in case of having a third daughter. But, now the rules have been changed.
